For the more intrepid finger-pickers that perform a lot of melodic work at the higher frets, Fender have given the body of this Alternative Series flat-top a deep cutaway to grant easier fret reach. Meanwhile, due to the 25.3 inch scale length, the string tension is reduced for a lighter feel beneath your fingers, and the fretboard radius is a little flatter than average, supporting a faster playing feel overall. To give the warm acoustic sound the amplification it deserves, a Fishman piezo pickup has been fitted complete with volume, treble, and bass controls and a built-in tuner.
